About the role
Are you looking for a volunteering role that is seasonal or monthly? Would you like the chance to really make a difference by being part of a team who provide fun opportunities for disabled young people in your area? Time2Share runs a variety of groups in Bristol, Bath, Midsomer Norton and Radstock offering a range of activities for disabled young people. Some sessions are run as part of a holiday club so they operate during school holidays, and others run regularly on a monthly basis.
There are Session Workers that lead our groups, but we also look for volunteers to help support the different young people to engage in the activities, make friends and get the most out of the experience.
What we are looking for
We are currently looking for proactive volunteers who can lead activities based on their interests such as games, arts and crafts and / or cooking activities. You do not need experience of working with children or young people. As long as you are enthusiastic, committed, responsible, have a positive attitude then we’d love to hear from you.
What you can expect
Volunteering at our groups can be a huge amount of fun as well as a great opportunity to learn from our fantastic bunch of young people and staff. If you are interested in working within youth work or special educational needs, volunteering can help you to develop new skills and knowledge, such as communication and facilitation, that will look great on your CV.
For all our volunteers we provide:
- Induction training and ongoing training/development opportunities
- Ongoing support from our Session Workers and Coordinators
- Expenses paid
- Regular Volunteer Social Events
