It is very important for our volunteers to be reliable and safe with children, and this is why we ask for references. We will be asking for a character reference, so they don't have to have worked with you. We are happy to accept references from friends, colleagues, teachers, tutors, neighbours and family friends. They need to be people who have known you for at least 5 years and who know you fairly well. We can't accept references from family members or your partner.
