It is very important for our volunteers to be reliable and safe with children, and this is why we ask for references. The first reference should be from your current or last employer (or if this is irrelevant, a tutor or someone who has known you in a professional role). We will also ask for one character reference, from someone who has known you personally for at least 5 years (this can be a friend or neighbour, but not a partner or relative).
