Nick is matched with Adam who lives in North East Somerset.

I am 44 years old, living in East Harptree, with my partner and our two children aged 9 and 10 yrs.  I work in London during the week and return home at weekends. Apart from my work running a software training company, and looking after the children, I like the outdoors, tennis and walking, as well as much reading as I get time for.

We decided to become Befrienders because we thought it seemed a very worthwhile thing to do and something that would be fun and rewarding for the children and us.

Last time Adam visited our home we played football, monopoly and snooker, and later watched a film for a short while (as well as generally talking to Adam).

The best thing about being a Befriender for me is the satisfaction of seeing Adam and our children enjoy each other’s company, knowing that they would probably not have met had we not taken the trouble to ring the number on the poster in the beginning!

We are all very glad we have got Adam's visits off the ground and we are looking forward to the his next visit.
