Laura is a befriender for Gemma who lives in Bristol (some names have been changed)

Through my work with children who have special needs, I see a lot of parents and families struggling to bring up their child and have any time to themselves. By becoming a Time 2 Share Befriender I feel I’m in a position to help such a family and hopefully make a difference.

I have only just met my family and young person but both seem great and very enthusiastic about the Time2Share program.  When I visit we go to the park, bowling and anything that may use up some of Gemma’s abundant energy!
