Funding

Disabled people and their families experience discrimination which leads to social isolation and reduced life chances.  Time2Share is committed to providing practical services to support disabled people to take part in social and leisure activities within their local community.  We aim to support carers by giving them a short break from their caring responsibilities.  Our intention is to help change attitudes within society which contribute to the exclusion of disabled people.  We are particularly successful at supporting children and young people with autistic spectrum disorders.

Currently our work is funded through local authority funding in Bath and N E Somerset and Bristol. We are funded to work with disabled children and young people up to 18 years of age as our funding comes from money allocated to supporting children in need. However, we would like to continue to support young people with learning difficulties over 18 and need funding to do this. We would also like to expand our service to support families in other geographical areas. We would also like more funding to increase the number of families we support in existing areas.

We also seek funding to support our work from independent trust funds, individual and corporate donations. We are always happy to hear from individuals or organisations interested in helping with our fundraising efforts and activities.
